I have published on various aspects of security in the Democratic Republic of Congo, including demobilisation, the peace process, the threats posed by 'global security' and the configuration of aid.

I have written two books: Formal Peace and Informal War. Security and Development in Congo (Routledge 2013) and 'Not Breaking the Rules, Not Playing the Game. International Assistance to Countries at War' (Hurst 2006).
